Barrier-1® Admixture System

Barrier-1® Admixture is designed to stop flooring failures due to moisture migration through below-grade, on-grade and above-grade slabs. The product works by eliminating the route of moisture vapor emission through concrete by closing down the integral capillary system.

Our admixture is a sodium silicate-based, complex formula that is free of all volatile organic compounds (VOCs). It is specifically designed to have a natural chemical reaction with pre-existing elements inside the concrete. This chemical reaction forms a permanent barrier (capillary break), which will become integral to the concrete and irremovable. The admixture can be added to the mix at the batch plant or job site.
